What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic, a holistic/alternative form of healthcare, aims to restore intersegmental (spinal), joint, and extremity joint function. The focus of chiropractic is to allow the body to heal itself and return to its optimum performance level by targeting and treating the cause rather than treating symptoms. Chiropractors use specific adjusting techniques to correct spinal and extra-spinal misalignments.  They diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems.

Who Needs Chiropractic?

Hodge Family Chiropractic accepts patients of all ages, from infants to elders. Dr. Hodge adjusted his daughter, Haddie, shortly after a natural delivery. Different techniques and forces are used based on a patient's age, health, and symptoms.

Chiropractic treatments can help with neck pain (cervicalgia), mid back pain (dorsalgia), low back pain (lumbago), extremity joint pains, and headaches. Other benefits of chiropractic care may include but are not limited to: boosting the immune system, an increase in focus and energy, better sleep, more comfortable pregnancy, ease of delivery, alleviating infant's ear infections, latching problems, colic, pain relief, and improving range of motion and posture.
